Ministry Duties
Preaching 1998-Pres.
As part of my Master of Divinity degree, I was trained in expository and topical preaching. I believe both are vital to the health of the church. I began filling pulpits while in seminary and have made it a regular practice since that time. I also preached regularly in chapel at Clearwater Christian College and represented them at times in churches.
Leadership 1986-Pres.
The management experiences below detail much of the experiences I have had. I have been involved secular work leadership since my early military days. Leadership positions throughout my secular work life have greatly assisted me in the church leadership opportunities provided me. I believe in strong servant leadership model that is intentional and provides clear direction and objectives.
Counseling 1998-Pres.
Beginning in seminary, I have provided counseling for individuals in the church body in
areas of marriage, life dominating sins, and Christian discipleship. I believe in biblical counseling assists believers in helpful ways but the counselee must submit to the local church and remain under the weekly preaching of the word. I also believe that God has given us secular tools to help with physiological difficulties and we should avail ourselves of these gifts when needed.

Discipleship 1998-Pres.
A priority of mine has been discipleship. From my seminary time, leading the college age group at my church, I have purposed to be in other’s lives. My time at Clearwater Christian College created many opportunities for this to take place student’s lives. During my church ministry experience, I have also been able to influence believer’s walk with Christ. I have an ongoing discipleship ministry with local pastors to encourage and provide accountability. Oversee a theological reading group with local church members to encourage deeper commitment to the faith and theological grounding.
